Rocky Mountain Shootout

Resmondo/Specialty Tank/Worth wins the Rocky Mountain Shootout in Colorado this past weekend. The sod boys were too much for this one, as Dan Smith & Long Haul did not play. Resmondo got a little scare from runner-up Combat/USA/Elite. The Combat boys came up a little short losing by only two runs in the winners bracket finals. The sod boys had it pretty much their way the rest of the way on route to the championship. Congratulations to the sod boys on your win. Good luck in your next one.

Combat/USA/Elite has shown that they belong up in the rankings. This team has played very well all season long and after this weekend’s performance they will move up in the rankings. I look for this team to be a good Class A team with an outside chance of winning the A Worlds. The other A teams better keep an eye on this one. Congratulations on your weekend and good luck the rest of the way.

Hubs Pub/Elite, who I don’t know much about, but was told this was a pretty good team. I know finishing in third place in a Conference NIT is a good job by any team. Congratulations on your great weekend and good luck the rest of the way.

Northwest/Combat finished fourth in this one. This is another one of those pretty good Class A teams. This team has played very good all season long and deserve to be in the top 15. Congratulations on a terrific weekend and good luck in the future.

I would like to commend the Colorado USSSA staff on running a very good Conference NIT and good luck in the future with it.
