Hague/Resmondo/TPS
Continuing my 2001 team report, this week’s team is Hague/Resmondo/TPS. Jeff Hague and Travis Resmondo along with John Riccio, Bill Tazaneri and Frank Webb have made the jump from AA to putting together one of the top 3 teams in the country. Jeff Hague with his background, who has fielded some of the best AA teams in this game’s history and has won the USSSA World Series Championship, and the only AA team to have ever won this prestigious event will be a big factor in this teams success in the 2001 season. Travis Resmondo, the young sod man from Lake Wales, Florida will be just as big in his contribution to bringing this team to success. Travis, like Jeff have won in every level that they have sponsored in the past. Now after all the years they have had AA, A, B and C teams they have now reached the Super level. They have put together a team that this reporter thinks will be a contender to win some NIT’s, and a very good chance at capturing one or more of the World titles. This ball club will be managed by a man, Mr. Jim Wessel, who has been to the big dance and has won. Combined with Jeff and Travis along with players like Paul Drilling, who has won many many World Championships and Brett Hightower, who has also won many many championships. When you add players like big Wendell Rickard, one of the great homerun hitters this game has ever had, who has also won many championships, and mix all this together with some great other talented players you’re bound to be knocking at the door every weekend. I think this team will be solid defensively, and very strong offensively. Add hitters like Larry Carter, Randy Kortokrax, Dennis Mendosa, young Paul Brannnon, veterans Howie Krause, Al Davis along with young shortstop, Demond Thomas, slick fielding outfielder, Scott Striebel, and backup pitcher and utility player Jimmy DeVine I see great things coming from this ball team. I want to wish this team the very best for the 2001 season.
